One day, Alice was playing in the rain near a big pond. The sky was dark and stormy, with thick grey clouds covering the sun. At first, it was just drizzling, but soon, the rain grew heavier, creating little puddles all around her. Alice loved the sound of raindrops hitting the ground and couldn’t resist jumping into the puddles, making a big splash each time.  


She was dressed in her bright yellow raincoat and matching rain boots, which kept her dry as she ran around. Her red umbrella twirled above her, protecting her from the heaviest drops. The pond rippled as the rain fell onto its surface, and Alice imagined it was whispering secrets to her.

As she played, she noticed a tiny frog hopping near the water’s edge. It seemed to enjoy the rain as much as she did! Alice giggled and followed it carefully, trying not to scare it away. The world looked different in the rain—the colours were brighter, the air smelled fresh, and everything seemed full of magic.  


By the time the rain slowed, Alice was tired but happy. She took one last look at the pond, now shimmering under the cloudy sky, and headed home. Rainy days, she decided, were the best days for adventure.
